➤ How do nonprice factors change the equilibrium price?
They shift demand or supply curves. A demand shift (preferences, income, substitutes) moves the demand curve right or left. A supply shift (input costs, technology, taxes) moves the supply curve. The new intersection of shifted curves gives a different equilibrium price and quantity.
